Went to HPR yesterday where Elvis (Qualitil Unforgetable) got BOB & Qualitil Rosies Boy RBOB
The kitchen at the show ran out of food so we went over the road to the "Baxter shop"
where they have lots of nick nacks for sale and a fab coffee shop. so if you are travellinh north towards Perth and need a stop the place to go is "Baxters centre" at Blackford it is just off the dual carriage you can see it from the dual carrageway.....and along the road into Blackford on the left is the village hall behind which is a large field where your dog can have a wee run ...their is also a wee burn for a drink for the dog(not yesterday it was -6 degrees)
PS.
Below the crique for Gundog Breeds of Scotland just for Lindsay and Ghillie Thanks to Dog World
V (1) 1 Gumley's Ghyllbeck Acidaspis, pleasing type, good outline for a 7 year old, excellent firm topline, quality elongated head, nicely moulded with soft expression & good muzzle, strong bone & firm feet. A little down on front pasterns. Deep bodied, correct tuck up, well bent stifles & muscular hindquarters with second thigh, springy flowing mover. Toeing in slightly in front & not totally positive behind. RBD earned on his overall quality & type.
P (3) 1 Nield's Ellsott Party Politics, 7 months dog, well proportioned head, excellent bone & feet, well angulated throughout, well sprung ribcage, well covered loin, good depth for a youngster, well bent stifle. Needs training & handling to settle on the move. BP; 2 Goddard's Raycris Kinda Kute, most attractive type, lovely promising head, good bone, feet & topline, nicely coupled & taut abdomen, good overall outline. Moving a little wide in front & needs more handling to bring out the full potential; 3 Taylor's Ellscott Red Rum mit Waldenhof.
J (3,1) 1 Gray & Evand's Qualitil Rosies Lassie, a bitch with some finer breed points, moving reasonably well with flowing gait. Rather overdone in head. Well laid shoulders, good reach of neck & clean overall lines, moderate tuck up with taut abdomen, well muscled hindquarters; 2 Mell's Raycris Perfection at Meadlands, lacking in coat, would prefer more strength in muzzle. Good strong bone & firm feet, good topline, strong loin & broad over the croup. Disappointed with rear movement.
PG (8,3) 1 Macgregor's Daleander Hot Love, good type, excellent strong bone, strong pasterns & correct feet, skull & muzzle set in proportion, correct stop & eye colour, well ribbed, taut skin & abdomen, firm loin, good depth of body, in good coat, condition & feather. Movement behind could be better; 2 Murdoch's Kalabagh Vermillion, many typical qualities but would like to see rather more strength in head. Pleasing outline & depth of body, well angulated overall, correct topline. Could carry more condition to advantage. Moved acceptably with good tail carriage; 3 Logie's Franorst Paws for Eirinn.
L (7,3) 1 Thomson's Raycris Pipistrel, excellent type, lovely shaped skull & muzzle, correct stop, lovely eye shape & expression, strong neck with good reach, well angulated throughout & nicely proportioned, excellent strong straight bone & pasterns, firm well padded feet, well sprung rib, good body condition, taut & well coupled, deep bodied, moved very soundly. Unfortunately suffered from a dead tail which prevented further awards; 2 K Vermillion; 3 Pilkington's Tarkanya Lytas Lace. RBB.
OD (2) 1 Kennedy's Qualitil Unforgetable, mature 6 years dog, nicely moulded head, correct stop, kind eye & rounded skull, good dark eye, excellent strong bone down to well padded feet, well angulated throughout, prominent breastbone, good topline, well ribbed, coupled & strong over the loin, wide at the croup, excellent stifles, well muscled hindquarters & strong hocks, moved very soundly reaching out & extending. Unfortunately tends to raise his tail a bit much to spoil the picture. However he has many excellent breed qualities & was in good condition & well presented so had to be my BOB.
OB (2) 1 Gray, Evans & Logie's Qualitil Unstoppable, litter sister to the BOB winner with many breed qualities. Not a big bitch, rather neat in outline, balanced head, not overdone, adequate bone & feet, well ribbed, firm loin, good bend of stifle & muscled hindquarters, in good coat, feather & condition. BB; 2 Kirkwood & Thomson's Ir Ch Helydon Knockandhu at Sarscottah, pleasing type & outline, well balanced head, nicely angulated throughout, good topline. Lacking in body condition & muscletone in the hindquarters. Moved acceptably.
And Qualitil Unstoppable (Rosie) Best opposite Sex Gudog Breeds of Scotland
Hi,
Well Done to Suki on taking BOB at Dundee on Saturday. The munster classes were well entered too so that makes it even nicer for her. It was a shame the weather wasn't great but it certainly wasn't as bad as forecast.
Linda, it was lovely to see Chance on Saturday. He certainly doesn't look like a veteran!!! The other Kalabagh boy (I'm sorry I forgot his name) was looking nice too. His owners were telling me that he's shaping up to be a smashing working dog, you must be pleased about that.
Next show for us in Leeds this Saturday. I have checked online and it says we have 52 dogs entered making an entry of 51. I think according to the passes we are 1st on Saturday so it will be an early start for us. Suits me though because it means you can get up the road sharp in the afternoon.
