Happy New Year to all Munsters from Lucy

Hope everyone North of the border had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.Forgot to mention Lucy's birthday before Christmas although we did remember at home.Lucy is now a fully fledged Gun Dog ,very agile, hunts very well and is not quite as vocal as I thought she might be although  she has become a bit vocal again of late - I think the snow excites her!!! She is out shooting with Brian today so I hope she is behaving.

Like everyone else we have had sub zero temperatures and lying snow for over two weeks with no sign of a change for the next week. Makes life a bit difficult as we live on the top of a hill with bends and even in 4 wheel drive it's a bit scarey. The ice was so bad last week that I couldn't get the horse across the yard for two days in spite of all my efforts to clear it with salt etc. It was very fortunate that it was the Christmas holiday so no pressure to get to work. Lots of time for long walks in the snow with the dogs who all think it's wonderful, particularly Lucy and her new Flat Coat pal Zara. The Spaniels find the deep snow a bit more difficult and poor little Misty finds it hard to escape the demons Lucy and Zara.

I am remembering to feed the birds Carol, in fact it costs me more to feed them than the dogs. I even buy special 'Rocking Robin Mix' for the four who visit my feeding stations everyday in fact I was quite amazed to see two Robins feeding together yesterday - times must be hard.

Wishing everyone and all munsters a very Happy New Year
