By that Zeph has just started barking. Can you think of anything that has changed. Has his crate moved, have you had friends staying over. If you can't think of anything then got me stumped. How to sort?
Skye and Spring are our first dogs so have negligible experience.
My noddy thoughts are,
- Try leaving some clothing that you have just been wearing, a jumper say, just outside the door to the room he is in and/or
- When you put him to bed then sit/stand outside the door to the room he is in and if he barks then quietly say settle done. If he does then go further away (after leaving some clothing). If he doesn't then ?.
The other side of the coin could be, when he barks go into the room - command Quiet - then throw some water in his face.
Just one of the dilemmas of looking after a dog.
