Helen would like to thank everyone for their help +/or support by being present or writing letters over the last 4 months.
Sarah - super photo of kaia jumping.
Wendy everything ok re- bacon butties. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
The proposal was NOT passed ( 22 votes for to 45 against so motion not carried) and therefore Helen was not expelled.
The AGM was scheduled to be convened after lunch. Before this time the Chairperson Secretary and Treasurer of the club resigned and as one of the above three office bearers by KC (Kennel Club) rules had to attend the AGM and so the AGM had to be postponed to a later date.
The members of the club will be informed in the fullness of time how the LMC are going to proceed after consultation with the KC. It is expected that a meeting will be called to select a new committee and after this the AGM can be rescheduled.

Hi Mo
Rascal is doing remarkably well at present. If you didn't know you wouldn't think she had the op. Luckily I noticed before she became ill so its just a question of keeping her relatively still until the stitches come out.I took her back to the vets on Tuesday to have her stitches checked and she promptly jumped into the chair in the waiting room. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks!!!! The main problem with Lucy is that she attacks the buster collar Rascal has to wear so I don't leave them together.Lucy is very subdued again today as we have heavy rain!!! Might have to buy her a waxed jacket!!! Poor little Brewster hope he gets a loving home soon.I am suprised Erin can be persuaded to part with him.
If anyone who is unable to attend SGM has a question they would like to put to "the table" or any point they would like "aired" at the SGM send us an email at scottishmunstersadmin@gmail.com or phone 07729168876 And we will endeaver to ask the questions or put over "your points" at the appropriate time during SGM
Mo
Is Lucy missing her
MO
Do share the photos!! I love puppy pics in the evening :D
Is he KC registered - so would he be able to compete in field days and such like (obviousy not shows though!)
My email is down just now. I can see what mails are there but it will not let me open them. Could you resend to gregor_powell@yahoo.co.uk his seems to be working fine so if you try that I will get it.
What happened to Brewster? Was it him at the beach? The poor wee thing!
we have brew at ours lucy. your brother!! he had to have an op on his eyes he had like skin tags on the side which neeeded to be removed and he will be available to go in the future but trying to find the right home for him now. we have had enquiries about him but the timing wasnt right so when he is ready we want the perfect home lined up for him. he looks a lot better.
Linda paws will give you the kai treatment so he is still about!!!!!! Ellie will too. no getting rid of him he is a hard one to forget. a lovely boy though who taught me many new words!!!!!!!!
Hi Nicky
Lucy is understanding your sense of humour but perhaps you misunderstood ours. From what we have experienced of Lucy so far she is definately her fathers daughter!!!!! I only hope she has the same ability out shooting.Perhaps I should start showing because you would definately know when Lucy had arrived she would be speaking to everyone and everything. Mo what happened to Brewster?
Well done to Ekko for the win! Fantastic!
As to Kai. Hmm. Well, I can vouch for the noise lol. When we go to shows we know when Nicky has arrived!! I think I'm going to miss that welcome from afar, unless Paws has the same welcome????
Nicky there is no way Paws is louder than Kia it just aint possible lol Although I have to admit that Ellie is very like her dad in everyway(apart from colour), but you know I've always adored Kai and came close to dog napping him at the rodeo last year (which reminds me it must be comming up soon are you going this yr?) Although causes confusion when one starts being noisy cos its always wrong one that gets told off.
Gill
Edited: just looked it up 26th April and found this on their website
This young man is 13 weeks old. He has had his op. & is ready to go to his new home.
If you think you could give this lively tri coloured munster a loving home contact us at
Below is brewster after his op. hence the lack of hair
You can email letters re Helen for SGM to Tina at celtaur@surfree.co.uk
rather than post. Can you "CC " your email to helen.j.evans@tesco.net & put on the email you send to Tina it was "CC" to Helen Thanks

I have been told on good authority That if you are unable to attend LMC SGM this Sunday (remember the clocks go forward ie get up 1 hour earlier) you can write a letter to the LMC committee expressing your views on the proposal. All such letters will be read out at the SGM. I would assume that the letter would be sent to Tina Chairperson of LMC.
Mo
Hi,
I hope everyone had a nice Easter. I had a lovely time, didn't get up to anything too exciting but it was nice to spend it with my favourite people & dogs!!!!
Elspeth, you asked last week about Ringraft Clases. I am not very good when it comes to googling but thought you might find this link useful? http://www.scottishkennelclub.org/resources/training-directory#taf
It appears to list a lot of training clubs in Scotland, maybe you will find a good ringcraft from there?
Loved the pics of Elvis from the weekend, thanks for putting them on Mo. If only Elvis was as keen to get in the Bath as he is to lie down in dirty water we'd be laughing!!!!!LOL

Just another couple of points to note, some companies will not cover a pet if it is not fully vaccinated or if it is not wearing an id tag (even if its microchipped).
Gill
On first look at pet-insurance the quote for Ellie on lifetime cover is nearly a £1 more a month, £15 more on the excess, £3000 less on the Vets fees benefit and doesn't mention behaviourists and alternative therapies etc. They do bigger discounts for multi pet households tho so maybe works out cheaper if you have multiples, but to insure our 2 cats and 3 dogs M&S are quoting £54.06 (and that includes a 7yr old dog).
Most insurance companies will not cover vet bills related to breeding and gun dogs are not covered when working on a lot of policies. I would also enquire with your vet as to how good different companies are at paying out promptly, some take ages and dont exactly make life easy, just a word of warning (haven't heard anything about pet-insurance tho).
Gill
I have "trolled the net" it makes interesting reading did you know Direct line will not insure your dog if you use it for "gun dog work" or if you breed from it??. the best I can find is "pet-insurance-co.uk " they do a standard or life time policy standard covers condition for a year "life time" covers condition for life standard £7-32 life time £10-97 that is for me taking out for 4 of mine.. Maggie too old will stay with E &L for her.
Pet-insurance-co.uk is underwritten by Equine and livestock insurances co Ltd which is quite well known ... well I had heard of them.
Would have thought Marks would be expensive
You can get these comparison sites but they do not compare all insurance companies justa selected few??!! not very correct.
Mo you might want to have a look at Marks and Spencers Ellies is £11.39 a month.
Gill
In Dec. 2006 I took out an Insurance for Rhuri with Argos at £13.49 a month noticed in my bank statement I was paying £25.90 for a "Pet insurance" this year... As I have a further 5 pet insurances I did not know which one this was... It turns out it is Rhuris I phoned Argos to be told that last year all there insurance policys were a "flat rate" so the top of the range was the same cost as the bottom & this year it is back to normal........I said to him but that is 100% increase in cost.....so check your monthly insurance instalments carefully and I have cancelled the policy will probably go with Tesco Suki is with them it costs a lot less than £25.90
Had good weekend catching up with things...& sleep
Mo
House purchase not going very smoothly so may be homeless at the end of April. I thought no problem - just rent somewhere !!!! but nearly everything has "no pets" or "at landlords discretion" whatever that means. Hopefully they wont know the special traits of a large munsterlander - like Springs photo a few days ago.
I would recommend that people have a go at a Natural Aptitude test with their munsters as your dogs will surprise you. Our dogs are our first and we had no experience of the working side of the dog but its lovely to see them do what they were bred to do.
Well done to all you guys that had a go on Sunday past. It looks and sounds like you had a good day.
well done sarah and kaia for passing the nat app.
as for our liitle nat app i think the place that holds the nat app do b&b in their house. they have munsters too. mo will tell you if that is right. she might also have their details for you. see there is a pic of erin and paws in our dogs and robert kiilick mentioned them in his collum.
Find B&B Wup we can do that ......will post later
Not to be out done We have Elvis cooling off on our walk today
& The deer Spring was speaking to "up the hill" was that the same one Jager was speaking to about 14.00 hrs today. He must have been a busy deer.
Lindsay the Nat App is great fun It is a "Natural Apptitude test"
There is one held up here in Scotland in June (usually brilliant weather) Where we have a BBQ and Strawberries & cream and lots of food and drink (Peter Hobson is bribed to come up and get his "bacon roll and strawberries & cream) It is a great day out & you can get Prof Crispen to eye test your dog while you wait. Here is a link to our slide show from 2006 & slide show from 2007 & a
link to guidlines for Nat App.
Cassie is a "Tarkanya " so you would pass no problem..... cannot get better than a Tarkanya??!!
Would be great if you all come to Nat App in Kelso in June "Watch this space".
I would love to put Cassie through this, but being so new to this I'm not sure what it involves. Any advice? Sarah, Kaia looks lovely, I understand your comment about Cassie's markings now, they are very similar. Well done to you both for passing the Nat Ap!
Lins
That's great news Sarah you must be very happy with Kaia, you've both done well passing the Nat Apt test and she's looking good in the photo.
I bet Lucy is going to have loads of fun, plenty of exploring to be done and pals to chase. .
Suki looks very much like her mum, it's getting quite hard to tell the difference, I bet they kid you on a bit when they are up to mischieve...
Here's a photo of Skye cooling down on her Easter walk this morning, sorry none of Spring she was away speaking to the Deer up the hill.
Well done you ... It is very hard to pass first time as you do not know what to expect
so I am impressed. What was the weather like......I do not see snow in your pic??!!
Mo
There was only a small number of us there but i had a great day meeting everyone and their dogs and talking munster all day!
Well done to everyone else who went and whether they passed or 'nearly passed' I know everyone looked asthough they were having fun.
friends of mine went to scunthorpe this weekend for an agility show and arrived all the way down to find it cancelled because of SNOW. its easter for god sake. what a nightmare she sent me a pic and you would think it was december. snow is nice but only for a couple of hours then it gets dirty and here it gets yellow!!!! as we say to jason dont eat yellow snow!!!
i bought jason a palstic tank yesterday from the pet store near to the agility fun day i was on. it is a brill shop and they do all reptiles snakes tortoises as well as the normal hamster deugus budgies. he cant wait for slimy to arrive. it is only a baby one so will be tiny but should reach garden snail size in a few months.
Glad her op. went well hope she makes a quick recovery. Weather forecast was for snow....no snow here but Nat. App on today in Stoke Bardolph I think & snow forecast for there?!
Hunting in the snow?
Mo
Rascal has had her op and was okay last night but they kept her at the vets overnight because of her age.Lucy had me up three times in the night which wasn't appreciated as I had to be up at 5.30am to get to work. We now have thick snow which Lucy isn't sure about. Will post some photos when i get time to down laod them.I wouldn't doubt the cat took exception to being wormed. I hyave to take mine to the vets.I certainly have no inclination to keep reptiles or snails!!!!
Many thanks to Carol for creating the owners page. I will have to send you more photographs. Very worried today because Rascal, Lucy's best friend, is at the vets they think she may have a womb infection and need ahysterectomy which at 11years and 9 months is very risky.
Lucy still does not like the wind or the rain - little wimp
Carol has been busy doing "owners pages" & Cassie has a page @ Scottish Munsters.co.uk
it is in the "owners " section. Carol has also done liz & Lucy a page which will be linked up ASAP. & Baxter page has been update Go to link here He is quite the wee star and has lots of photos on his page
Thanks Carol Have a good Easter
Mo
Cassie is beautiful, lovely clean whiteness like Kaia - if i get something arranged i'll let you know.
You are joking yuckkkkk.....
first of all welcome to munster cassie and her furry frineds and human pals.
sarah i am bad i have just bought jason a snail from ebay, i checked other site but it wa s abit too technical for me so ebay was great and we get a care sheet and everything with our new pet. it is a baby and only 4 inches so jason can watch it grow, will post pics when it arrives.
Sarah, I have e-mailed you as well but am interested in your idea for a munster day in the south. I'm based in Bristol, and have one Large Munsterlander (Cassie) and Louis and Sasha, two German Shepherds (see picture put on by Mo). I'd love you join you. Any idea of when and where?
Lins
We have 3 massive ones and 5 baby ones - however the teacher whose classroom they are normally in has taken them home with her for the easter holiday so i dont need to worry about them for a few weeks. Still had to bring the tree frogs home though!
Browsing through my photos loking for something and found this photo of Kaia as a puppy 11 1/2 months ago!
its a shame you dont live neare erin would have loved that.
sarah jason will be your best pal he loves those huge snails his pal has one and j i so jealous but you cant ge tthem round here easiliy. are they easy to keep. will have to look them up and see where you can buy them from.you have quite a collection there.
Kaia is brilliant with all of them but there is no doubt she is below most of them in the pecking order :D
Hi Sarah
Yes, we get gasps of horror when we tell people we have seven dogs and three cats which all live in the house! Lucy is quite a character but I was a little suprised this morning because it's raining heavily and Lucy didn't want to go out in it. She was very subdued and kept shaking her head to get the rain off her ears. Brian thinks she might be a bit precious and be the first dog we have owned that needs a rain coat!!!! Do hope not 'cause I'm going to look a bit foolish out shooting!!! Haven't tried her with the dog dryer yet but she thinks being rubbed down with the towel is a good game.
Liz..... well done in putting the videos up I am well impressed with out any help??!!
And yes you are welcome to use all the facilities on here.
Sarah ....Munster bash.. go for it It is great to see a gaggle of munster all having fun playing with each other.
wow lucy is getting big now. she is a wee bit vocal but not as bad as i have heard and i do own her dad, everyone will tell you what he is like!!!!!lovely dog like to give an opinion. she has the rest of the pack well trained typical munster. hope you are having fun with her.
ps your horse is lovely.
Having a munster day is a wonderful idea and I thought i may try and organise one for us a bit further south! I hope you dont mind me borrowing your idea.
Lucy is adorable, and what a gang she has to live with - i'll mention you next time someone exclaims 'You've got THREE dogs, are you mad?' - lol! They all look fabulous and are a credit to you.
Hi Everyone
As you can hear in the video I have posted ,Lucy is very vocal and very much in command. She managed to keep the pack in the porch single handed when they were anticipating their afternoon walk! Glad you all had fun on Sunday, very jealous as I was at work. I'm sure Lucy would have loved the water.
Mo: I can't believe I have managed to post the video quite an achievement for a technophobe like me!!!!
Sunday is fine with me Linda. We are not going home until the Monday so anytime if you can make it.
The pictures are fantastic! Good work!
Where have all THE PEOPLE gone in top pic Richard as usuall excellent pics
beach does seem very empty is that the effect we have on people??!!
Mo
Glad you all enjoyed your weekend, I only wish I could have joined you. I've got a singing boy at home at the moment, so maybe a few hours away might have helped him.....LOL! Glad I got the earplugs after last time..... hee hee....
Elspeth, I won't manage the Saturday as it's my granddaughter's first birthday party, but I could manage the Sunday I think. Will let you know nearer the time.
Elspeth I have edited your post Re shows?!!! Sorry
Mo
Well after looking at the ones after Ceilidh turns 6months Birmingham will be our first and I think we will be at most of the shows. Bournemouth is out because the judge there is our breeder so we won't be able to enter there. What shows are you going to Gill?
Elspeth
We all had a great day on Sunday, it was really lovely to see so many pups all together and all behaving really well. Does anyone have any more pictures? I didn't have the camera with me, would especially like a copy of a pic of Ellie, Paws, Rolf and Suki together if anyone got one.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the shows this year to which ones are you all going to? Our next one is Cambuslang Canine Club.
Gill
Thank you all for Sunday, all of your dogs are lovely! I am sorry we disappeared but we were all very sleepy after a weekend of completely over doing it! Everyone looked to be in good conversation and we didnt want to interupt. Now that I think about it it was rude so I am incredibly sorry to everyone!!!! Loch Earnhead is wonderful, an excellent place for all dogs. Ceilidh really is not a beach fan at all. We have had her a couple of times before and she is a completely different dog when we take her there. Give her a forest or field and she is wild! We almost lost her yesterday to a pair of swans protecting their babies. The daft thing was ready for jumping in after them despite their hissing and warnings!!!!! She went after a moorhen later in the walk and her her first dive and swim. That was in the Devilla forest which is great if anyone is in that area with their dogs.
Yes, I think we will be going to show her Mo. Does anyone know of a really good ring craft class in the perth/stirling/falkirk areas? Or even Dunfermline? I know a good one in Loanhead but it is the same night as the bronze classes so we cannnot go to that one. And there is one I know in Perth but I have been told by my friend (who would also coming with me with her border terrier) that class is always very busy so you don't get the time to do much at all.
Linda, we will be up at my parents again on 5th and 6th April so if you are free we will need to meet for a walk!!! (although not loch brandy, my dad got us up at the break of day, literally, on saturday to go up there before we went out for the day, it was just too much for the dogs and I still hurt!) Let me know anyway and we can arrange something.
If you are going to enter "online" for National Champ Show ( Birmingham) do it before 19th March 2008 @ midnight. Fosse data are going to charge an extra £2.00 if you enter after that date & time!!!!
Mo
Ireland is lovely you will enjoy it and the girlies will too. If you get chance go and see the dingle dolphin! as well as inch beach near dingle bay - it's fabulous
girls are doing beautifully thankyou for asking! They are striking up a real good bond with each other, especially since we lost Barney. Is that Nuneaton gundog show ?
Vicky
Good to hear from you. What part of Ireland (south) are you going too? Me and my sister used to Irish dance and my sister used to compete in the wolrd championships in Ennis - C.Clare - I have gone too in a team dance.
Seems we have exhausted S.Ireland doing just that as we have goine back almost every year just to do some sight seeing. In fact we went last year to Killarney in Cty Kerry.
It is a beautiful country, is it your first time going?
Vicky
Hi Wendy They are Scottish !! ofcoarse we looked after them we stick together us true Scots. against you Sassenach lot.
Thankfully we did find manage to find "one fault " with your wee boy after a lot of searching ??!!!
He is very nice took some pics of him stacked will I put on here?
Elspth where did you go? one moment you were there then you were gone.
Are you going to show your pup?. she too was very nice
Next meet will be at Lochearnhead we think to the hotel Gizmo went to right on the side of the Loch John(Wendy man) has been there a few times and says there are lots of walks there so watch this space.
All the dogs were on best behaviour yesterday even Suki??!! eh Nicky
We had one or two prospective new puppy people so hope they were impressed with
the "munster gang"
Will make a wee slide show soon ... need a wee sleep.. tired
Mo
Also have fun at your Munster Bash - Kaia and I are off for something similar on Easter Sunday - the LMC Nat Apt test - wish us luck (we sure need it, lol!!)
Linda,
Just igonre my last post. You are right we should not be discussing this openly. That is what this SGM has been called for & that is where we will ALL be able to express our opinions. I just hope that LMC members come out in force & that the right decision is made.
Pam x
Linda,
I don't think we are exactly "Discussing" the issue. I certainly am only expressing my support for someone I believe has done no wrong. Yes, the SGM is going to be the place where the ultimate decision will be made. But I definitely see no harm in giving an opinion. Freedom of Speech & all that!!!!
Pam x
Is an open forum really the place to discuss this? The SGM has been called for the members to decide what happens. Let them do that. There are always 2 sides to any story, and I for one would like to hear both sides. All of the facts should be placed there, where it can be discussed properly. I don't know the facts and would like to make up my own mind based on hearing them from anyone/everyone involved.
Hi,
I am really really looking forward to Sunday. Will be great to catch up with everyone & also meet some new faces.
I too will be giving my FULL support to Helen Evans. Think it's disgusting how she is being treated & find it sad that it's come to this.
Pam x
Hi Mo,
It is exactly where I was thinking, that is fine, we will see you sunday at12!
As for Helen Evens, Gregor and I have already decided to go and support her. But we can talk about it on Sunday, better than putting any views on the blog.
Linda, I won't be able to make saturday, my parents have made plans for us all since we havn't seen them for quite a long time. Maybe next time?
Elspeth
Come into centre of Leuchars at the roundabout in centre from the North take 1 exit to Pitlethie Rd follow along this road bear to the right signed Kiinshaldy
& the carpark has a barrer across the road you will need £1 to get in The cars are parked under the trees and the beach runs parrellel to it just over the sand dunes.
M
I am completely lost, I only know one way onto Tentsmuir beach. Am I right in thinking that it is the entrance through all of the forestry and you actually park in the forest with a small grass picnic area to the left of the car park?
Happy birthday Erin!
Well I should be there at the weekend with Kizzie and Ellie, and Possibly Rhys and my brother just depending on the weather. The access to tentsmuir we use is via Leuchars (the kinshaldy beach end) its sign posted from the main road through.

Thanks
Jayne
Happy birthday Erin, hope it's a nice one and that you get all the pressies you want!
My granddaughter's birthday is in 3 weeks. She'll be 1 and I'm going to see her! I've only seen her twice so I'm looking forward to it. Claire will then be 14years old 4 days after that, but she's spending it at her dad's so he has to pay for the party this year lol! Actually, he paid for last years too. How did I manage that????
From all in Peebles.
Nicky - I have one of those balloon blower uppers which sounds like it could have been put to good use.
I dread to think what your food shopping list looks like. I'm sure you must get some puzzled looks from the checkout staff.
Happy Birthday to you

Hi there,
Me, Rich and Rolf the dog will be there on Sunday! We will keep an eye on the feed in case anything changes or just drop us an emial, Mo, if things do. This is my slightly obsessive side coming in - if the weather is atrocious, will we assume that the meet won't go ahead?
Look forward to seing those who can make it at 12 on Sunday. Can't quite believe that Rolf and his siblings will be a year old next week! Madness.
Jayne (and Rich)
Hi,
Linda, that's a shame you won't be able to make the "Bash" on Sunday it will be a lovely day out. I am really looking forward to it, who is all coming & with what dogs? I think it's great that we can all make the effort to meet up every now & then. I love catching up with everyone away from the biz of a show & I know it's the Dogs idea of Heaven!!!!
Also, Happy Belated Birthday to Granny Maggie from Elvis!!!!
Pam xxx
Well I got that wrong! The stitches are out, but she has to have only lead walks for a few more days. Well that won't be a problem, will it? I don't walk bitches in season unless they are on leads. Chance is not a happy boy though. 2 bitches in season in 2 months is a bit much for him. Poor boy.....
Elspeth, as I have already said I won't be able to make Tentsmuir, but if you still want to meet up I could bring Chance and Seska for a walk on Saturday. That way Pepsi and Chloe won't be left alone for too long.
I won't be able to make it. Pepsi is back at the vets today to see how her wound is doing but probably won't get her stitches out until the weekend . She is also in season (great!) so I wouldn't have been able to bring her anyway. I think it is too long to leave her and any other dog I would have to leave behind as company. Maybe next time.
Well done Erin, you were busy, weren't you?
back to normal here ish!!! here is a run down of erins things from crufts for you all as i keep telling mo and confusing her!!
thursday - agility dog of the year as you saw [thanks for the pic nancy you are great at finding stuff] erin and buzz were third in their grade which meat the yhad to run in the final at 5pm in the main huge arena and erinhad to go first they did great i was so proud.

Hi,
Sarah that's a lovely photo, it's really sharp & clear.
I can't believe how much I wish I was at Crufts today!!! That's it no matter what I am going next year!!!! I hope everyone has a smashing day. Can't wait to hear who wins what.
Pam xx
Can you get YKC shirts at crufts this year...?
Listening to crufts fm at the moment!
Sorry Pam, I just re-read my post and it doesn't read as I meant it to be. It was supposed to be tongue in cheek! Keeping these dogs out of water is a nightmare, but there are times when I have to keep a very close eye on them. Normally after we have had a lot of rain. My stomach can be in my mouth when I see them heading for the water then as the water is running so fast. My arms are actually feeling twice as long jsut now as I am having to keep Pepsi on a lead and she pulls (drags??) me towards the water. Obviously I can't let her in just yet.... another week to go, if I survive this! We're back at the vets this afternoon for a check up so fingers crossed.
Hi,
Linda, I don't think I was very clear in my earlier post. I certainly wouldn't stop Elvis from going swimming in the winter, infact when we are out with Mo over the moor we come to a certain spot & I will always say "In for a Bath" & he gets right in & lies down, he loves the water. What I do find though is when we are down the Clyde he won't go in. I think it's to do with how high & fast the water runs during the winter. He knows it's not safe & just wouldn't entertain it. I like the idea of the hydrotherapy pool as a great way to exercise him & keep him well muscled. Gill, can you mail me the details/ prices etc? pamelakennedy99@gmail.com
Well Good Luck to everyone who is making the journey down to Birmingham today & tomorrow. I hope you all hae a fab time & I loko forward to hearing all about it when you get back.
Mo, I'm sorry for waking you this morning!!!LOL

First of all, apologies for not posting for SUCH a long time! It has been a while hasn't it! I have been reading the blog so I do know what's been going on.;
The reason I have been absent for such a long time is because me and my three friends at college have been assigned a seperate project alongside our college work and we are to treat it like a job. It will be allowed to go on our cv's aswell. Basically, we have to create a promotional video for a youth facility near me that has a programme on a friday night for young children from around 10 - 18!
It aims to get them "off the streets" and to do chill out in a controlled environment. However, it's in danger of being closed because they can't get staff to work there so they asked us to do this video for a meeting/seminar to show the good work that the programme does. We get invited to Wolverhampton Racecourse - he said he'll give us a public thankyou, show our video, invite us to the buffet/meal and throw in tickets for a race afterward! wow!!
How wonderful!!
Anyway, I have been reading about erin and PP - i am very jealous! I hope it went well!! I am watching the one show at the moment! Can I have your autogrpah tho??? ;)
I am so excited for crufts...i always do get excited. I love the shopping and the freebies and I want to go friday saturday and sunday, hopefully. Ive got discover dogs on the sunday so come and say hello!!! :D
Vicky x x xx
No, not at the same time!
I never thought about blaming the breeder for the early morning wake up call. Mind you, I can't blame Pepsi's breeder, can I?????? I don't get up before 7.15 most mornings....
Gill, I can't believe you don't let your dogs swim at this time of year! Mine will quite happily break the ice (and have done!) to get to the water.... They are a working gundog breed, so should be expected to go out in all weather conditions. So long as they get dried and warmed up as soon as they get home. Chloe thinks that's the best bit. I can't dry the others off properly unless I shut her out of the way....... She has to be first! and second, and third, and...... However, I do live beside a small stream and there is no where that I can walk them away from it. Unless I take them out in the car, but even then most places have water....
Any dog can swim as long as you get your vet to fill in a form to say the dog is fit to swim. Ellie loves the water but as you said it is just too cold to let them at this time of the year. We do it really just for a bit of fun every now and again and she is totally knackered afterwards. The one we use is in Clydebank.
Gill
I have to put my "hand up" I am probably to blame.I get up @ 5.00 each morning and so the
pups all have early time clocks although if they startred making a noise (they slept in the whelping box with extension on in my bed room) I only had to shout "be quite" & they feel back to sleep. And yes bed time was 10.00 I left water and food in for them over night. They were particularly vocal if they want a drink of water. Hope this may help??!!
M
Is there something that is disturbing her? Something like a milkman, or a neighbour getting up to go to work? It could also just be that she is needing to go out at that time. If that's the case then I would let her out (without making any noise or even looking at her) and put her back to bed. Again without speaking to her. If it's something from outside then there isn't much you can do about it until she gets used to the idea that no-one else is bothered by the noise. Pepsi did this for a few weeks but has got used to the outside noises now. One of my neighbours leaves about 6 am to go to work and that would wake her. Another neighbour gets called out regularly during the night (vehicle recovery driver) so we have all had to get used to the noise, even though he is very quiet.
Good luck to everyone off to crufts. I'll be glued to the telly to see who I can see (beside Erin!)
Hi,
Gill that hydrotherapy pool looks great. Do they hire it out or is it only for medical treatment? I'm only asking as I know how much Elvis loves to swim & I think it would be a great way to keep him nice & fit. I am thinking more during the winter months when it's not always possbile to get him swimming in the river.
Welcome Liz & Lucy. Sounds like Lucy is going to have a great time with all her new doggy friends. Can't wait to hear & see more from her.
Pam x
The harness is a health and safetly requirement for all hydrotherapy pools. It allows the hydrotherapist to control the situation as you can see in the video. Hope to make it to tentsmuir.
Gill
Can ellie not swim? Why does she need the jacket? to stop her drowning?
Are you on for 16th March Tentsmuir ?
M
I am so excited for everyone who will be leaving for Crufts, and CAN NOT WAIT for the results (hopefully you'll fill me in WAY before the show airs on American telly!).
Erin, I've got my fingers crossed for you, Sweetie ... but however you place, you know you'll always be FIRST PLACE with me and Steve!
MUNSTERS RULE!!!
LOVE YA!!! ~Nancy
I know i'm weird but Clare knows the story behind it.

Hopefully between 12.00 and 13.00 Wait and see when everyone can be there.
Hi and welcome to the madhouse!
I think I might just move down to Yorkshire and all that free space to run around in..... then again, maybe not..... I'm quite settled here, for now!
My family were farmers in Yorkshire, many years ago. Until my grandfather married an unsuitable woman....... silly man. What was wrong with my gran? I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her! Still, his family weren't happy. I don't think hers were too happy either! What's the saying - you can pick your friends, but not your family......
Hi Liz
Colour can be deceptive?!
I think Lucy will be Maggie coloured.
Nice to know there are some other munster owners in the region although I am sure Lucy will have lots of canine company at home.We have quite a few nice walks in the area as we are on the edge of the North Yorks Moors and I manage a property which is surrounded by four hundred acres of parkland including a river so very good for dog walking.I hope Lucy grows up to be as handsome as your three but I think she may be a little lighter in colour. Will keep in touch

I don't think it would be a good idea for Pepsi to go, and it's too far to leave her at home and bring any of the others. Maybe next time.
Elspeth, do you know when you are coming this way yet? I know of a couple of other munster owners who would like to join us for a walk.
No
No
And Yes. What kind of time is it likely to be?

Hi
My name is Liz I am now the proud owner of Susie one of the puppies from Tilly's last litter. We have changed her name to Lucy as we have had a Susie before and I don't like duplication. Lucy is my first Munsterlander but she has joined a household which is also home to 3 Flat- Coated Retrievers and 3 Springer Spaniels. Naturally everyone assumes Lucy is a combination of the two! The name Munsterlander results in blank expressions. She appears to be typical of the breed: very lively, loving and vocal - especially at 5.30am!!! I can't do photos at present but will hope to send some to Mo in due course. We live in rural North Yorkshire where Munsterlanders are very rare so I don't think Lucy will have the opportunity to meet with friends of her own breesd and it's rather too far to tarvel to Scotland for an afternoon walk. I will let you know how i get on.
1) - No, but we will be watching the highlights on Friday night.
2) - No, as I was away for the weekend.
3) - Yes Yes Yes, think that's a great idea. I am definitely up for that

Pepsi is fine (can't remember who asked - was it Pam?) I'm having to watch her like a hawk and am trying to decide who needs the valium. Her or me! This hasn't calmed her down any..... I let her out of the cage for a stretch and she chased the cat up the hallway! Silly girl... She is trying to get Chance to play with her before we go outside for the last time tonight.
I see someone has been playing with graphics again! Doesn't Colin have anything else to do Carole? He can come and paint my bathroom for me if he doesn't! Only joking. I'm getting there, slowly.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ACE . 2 today a big lad now. birthday party tonight with his pals. chewies all round. hard to believe the fluff ball is 2 now.
Hello,
Sorry I haven't been on for ages, work has been mega busy & I've had a couple of very busy dog free weekends. Still, normal service should be resumed today!!!LOL
Can't believe it's Crufts time again. I am not going this year as I just couldn't justify the cost. Good Luck to all those who are going, look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.
Glad all the little pups have now gone to their lovely new homes & are all settling in well.
Carol, any news on your house? Lovign the pics you have been putting on recently you are very talented.
Mo, I've got Elvis this weekend so maybe we could catch up on Saturday for an early walk???? Then I also have a rather large favour to ask you but I will call you during the week about that.
Linda I hope Pepsi makes a speedy recovery. How is she today?
Pam xx
Mac (Max) sent Tilly happy wishes for mothers day and lots of pictures will be on scottishmunsters.co.uk soon.
Tod new family also sent pictures today they have an Italian Spinone Dillon
I have been using arnica for years myself. Unfortunately I don't have any in the medicine cupboard at the moment. It's one of those things I need to get around to getting. I keep saying to myself that next time I'm at the shops I must get some, and then come home forgetting it.
Mind you, you wouldn't think there was anything wrong with the madam this morning. She is full of the joys of spring. Thank heavens for large cages! She can't do much harm in there, I hope!!!!
The field where she got caught doesn't have a fence round it anymore, just bits of unsuspecting barbed wire for dogs to find. Most of the bits we can see, and I keep the dogs away from it, but obviously she found a bit. I remember my Springer. She was terrible for it. If there was a bit that was 1/2" long, she would find it and rip herself on it. At least munsters have a bit of sense. They do it once, but remember what it feels like, so tend to avoid it. (Hope I'm not tempting fate here...!!)
Wendy another pic @ Scottishmunsters.net
Linda that is such a shame about pepsi. i hate barbed wire and farmers put it everywhere.
The film crew arrived here at 12pm and finished about 5.30pm. They did lots of shots on out front garden bench with erin peter and paws and then some in the house in erins room . they then took erin and paws out to the garden for some fun and erin showed them the tricks she has taught paws like rolling over throught the legs spins. they tehn show peter and erin grooming paws in our living room , then it was bath time for paws. not many dogs get peter purves to wash them for crufts. paws was such a good girl. we wondered how she would be as she has never done the filming thing as that was done before she came . erin brought a tear to my eye as she told peter the story about how alba was killed and she was so sad and then we looked after these pups and maureen left her paws to keep.peter said he has a tear when she told it. poor alba we still miss her so much especially as it will soon be a year since she has been gone. gone but never forgotten.

I wouldn't expect him to be anything other than a gentleman. I've always admired him. He took a shine to Erin the first time they met, so I'm glad he's doing a follow up instead of that prat....what was his name...you know the one. The one that said that NSDTR's aren't even a recognised breed! (Ok, I do know his name, just can't bring myself to say it.....!?!)
On a sadder note, I'm not long back from collecting my youngest little doggy angel (hmm, ok.....maybe angel isn't the word!) from a quick trip to the vet that ended up with several stitches in muscle as well as skin. Yep, Pepsi found the dreaded barbed wire....... I've been given some sedatives for when we go back to get the stitches out she was that hyper.... Are you sure she's not related to Kai.........?????
Hope everything went well today at logieland with PP...
Spring and Skye wish everyone all the best for next week and hope to see a few of their friends.
Never seen an unhappy Munster running free they certainly know how to enjoy themselves and you can't help but smile.!!
I love the photo of Bruno, he looks like he has settled in well...magic.
