Is Colin on holiday? or at least at home. Skye and Spring look nice as tin?!!
M
Hot News Erin is going to be on "ONE SHOW " on the BBC with Mr Foogle (spelling)
about her activities at Crufts.
BBC coming up to Nickys House on Saturday so.. busy
spring cleaning time Make sure Paws is all spick and span please..
Oh I suppose I'll get a picture of one or two, as the deer are often seen around here, but I don't think I'll ever see that many again. I was just not thinking about pictures, I was thinking of making sure the dogs didn't see (or smell) them! When I think about it, the deer were off to the right, the dogs were in front and the wind was coming from the front, but also from the left of us, so no, the dogs wouldn't have scented them. Plus the fact the the banking was in the way probably disguised our scent as well. I have, in the past, had to go chasing through the woods after the dogs when they got the scent, which is why I was petrified that they would scent this lot. I don't think I would have seen any of the dogs again. Far too many deer to follow!
Actually, to make things worse (sort of) shortly after I took the photos my batteries died. Just as a jet fighter flew over and Pepsi stood stock still staring at it. That would have been another good photo. Just not my day! Note to self - remember to take extra batteries next time....!!
Off to try to download some photos to my flickr account.
I had to rush off to get Claire off the school bus, so here's what I was going to add earlier!!
I took my lot out and as they were running up the path I quickly looked into the field (ok, something caught my eye) It was a deer. Great, I thought, I'd better keep an eye on the gang, when there was another deer, and another, and another, and......until there were about 20 of them in the field next to me!!!! Luckily the dogs couldn't see them as there was a banking between us that's about 3 feet high, so I made as much noise as I could without the dogs realising what I was doing. How on earth do you get 20 deer to move quietly out of the way? They eventually decided to saunter off, jus tas the dogs reached the bit where they would have seen them, if the dogs hadn't decided they'd rather have a swim so went the other way. Phew! I really didn't fancy chasing them halfway across Scotland trying to get them all back! I even forgot to get my camera out - yes, I had it with me. Typical!!! So I took some photos of the gang behaving (for once!) I'll try to upload them.

Elspeth, that weekend should be fine. I've nothing written on my calendar. If you want to give me a call my number is 01356 630362. You're probably right. My lot might just be a bit OTT!
Just a short video of Ceilidh with Gregors sisters dogs down near Stranrear.
Linda, we will be coming up for the night on the 15th March fancy a walk that weekend? I won't bring my parents dog as he is just too pathetic. Scared of dogs and wont go near them at all, Ceilidh has almost broken through with him but still not quite there yet. I think a Jack Russel attacked him at his first puppy class so since then he has had issues.
It was the visitor centre car park that we were in. We then walked down past the picnic area and round to the left (can you tell it was the first time I had been there lol)
Gill
So that was the first carpark you came to You did not carry on up the hill to the visitors centre .Did
you cross the road and walk on the other side towards Banefield where there are Big houses and Lochs on
the left?
M
HI Mo
That was the car park we were in but we headed the other direction. It was reasonablly busy but that field we found was great we got a chance to let the dogs have a really good run before anyone else appeared. In fact my 2 are still sound asleep now think thats a first.
Gill
Hi Gill were you walking in the hills above Blanefield? Did you park in the carpark on the left and cross over the road and walk down the track towards Blanefield/Strathblane with Abbes Loch on your Right?
I used to walk there regularly When I stayed in Blanefield Nice place to dog walk although I think it has got
a lot busier
Mo
Ellie and Kizzie met a new friend today. He is Aero one of Wendys puppies. He is a real sweetheart who we will hopefully be seeing in the show ring. I know his owners will be reading this, maybe they will join the site and say hello. Hope you enjoy Wendy.
Gill
P.S. please ignore me talking lol
Gill hit the black box with the orange arrow head in it Third box from the right
It takes a wee while and the video will not appear on the screen but trust it
it will be there so hit save again as you do with a written post
mo
Ok I'm being thick could someone tell me how to put a video on? thought I had it sussed but it didnt work :-(
Gill
Mo's answer correct.
Glad all the puppies have found homes
That is the last of the puppies away to his new home.
It is very sad although it is great to get my bedroom back?
Tod has gone to Fife Mac went to close to Peebles
so new people to join in our fun days Great.
Mo ( A sad caring Mo)
Hi Gill my guess left to right
Tilly Spring Kelsey Hogan
Kai Jager Rosie Paws
Ellie Skye Suki Maggie
only one not sure of is Maggie
Mo
I'm stuck with the 3rd one think I've got the rest, but 3rd one has me stumped. Someone tell me before I go mad. Lol
Gill
Hope little Tod finds a home soon - he is sooo adorable, who wouldnt want him.
Sorry Mac has gone to his new home ....
I didn't read the article, but there was a photo of Erin with 4 munsters, as well as Buzz, Ace and the little Papillon whose name I forget (oh dear, old age is creeping up on me.....) there was mention of Crufts, but I don't know what else. Maybe Nicky can enlighten us?
carole, you are awful! I can recognise Kai (??????) jumping, but the others???? I think I'll pass.
What is the article about in the courier re Erin?
M
Who? Erin!
I was taking my lot out for their morning walk when one of my neighbours came running up to me. She had her Courier in her hand! Guess who's in todays paper? A certain young lady with her 7 dogs! My neighbour wanted to know if they were the breed she thought they were! Well, dur..only 4 of them were, but yes.
Good luck for when you get there Erin!
Jane I think you have made the right decision. When Rolf is nearly 2
would be the earliest I would consider another pup? otherwise
Mayhem would reign
Any pics of Rolf ? how is he doing ?
Mo
Darn, those pups are cute! Sorely tempted and in a moment of weakness we probably would ... but think Rolf would do his nut - not that he has any anymore! They are both very handsome - particularly taken with Mac. Hope they find a new home soon
Jayne (and Rich)
i didint know Wendy. poor ruby what a shame. my old collie broke a toe and it does heal back to normal but having to keep pups quiet is a different thing. i remember when kai was a pup and he broke his shoulder bone [he is a clumsy git!!!] he was doing the wall of death in his cage it is not an easy task keeping them quiet you have my sympathy. hopefully she is on the mend you never know what they are getting up to when you aint looking. usually with kai its bungee jumping without a rope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't know if anyone else may be interested but I thought I'd put it on with Crufts comming up.
I spoke to the girl yesterday and book Ellie in and it sounds like it might be really good for helping to build her confidence in people touching her before Crufts. It will be featured in the Sunday mail this week so if you want a place you'll need to call quick there were only 4 sessions left when I spoke to her yesterday.
Gill
Gill, I'm not sure if it works, but I've heard that baking powder made into a paste and put onto the stain will get rid of stains. Or was it Bicarbonate of Soda? If you go onto the Champdogs site and do a search I'm sure there is plenty of advice there as some of the people own toy breeds and Westies that need to be whitened. Having never had a dog that was too white it's not a problem I've ever encountered LOL
Elspeth, so sorry to hear of your family problems. I hope she pulls through. My ex M-I-L (1st one) has had several small ones over the years and is still going strong. Cantankerous old bat that she is...... Ok, I do actually love her to bits, which is weird because I don't speak to her son anymore.... We have plenty time to meet, so just let me know when things improve. I actually invited a friend and her 6 year old munster to join us, but she just came into season, so that's out for 3/4 weeks.
How are you? I am sorry I have not been on in a while, Gregors grandma has has a very serious stroke and is in a coma so I am still not too sure as to when we will next be up to Kirrie for walks. Very manic and difficult time just now. Ceilidh has a certificate now for her first set of classes and the next ones begin on Thursday so fingers crossed that she keeps ahead of the rest. She had been bitten quite hard and given a fright by the rottie pup that was at the classes when playing (she was not actually hurt just shocked) but last week he tried it on again and she just wriggled out form under him and bopped him one on the head and jumped on him in the usual munster way full of fun and games. I think he got quite a fright when she played back and didn't take his bullying tactics, good on her.Hope everyone is well.
Elspeth xx
The house buying is progressing v v slowly - begining to get quite worried. The house selling is progressing well so worst case is that we will be homeless!
Islay looking good and well done at your last show. Will we see her at crufts- not long now, better start practising.
Think I'll need to keep an eye on Ellie proved yesterday just how much she takes after her Daddy in the jump first think later stakes. Thankfully she was a little luckier than her Dad. We were up at Luss yeaterday and Ellie was loving splashing about in the water (on a flexi lead because she would just follow the ducks and forget to come back lol) anyway she was playing happily on the jetty (luckily just at water level) and decided to jump in for a swim and went straight under and paniced, water must have been at least 6ft deep, when she bobbed back up she just couldn't get back out. Luckily as she was on the lead I was close enough at hand to drag her back out by the collar, daft dog was a little more cautious after that but it hasn't put her off the water she just paws it to check the depth first.
Now for a request for advice, anyone any ideas on how to get pink stains (from a smoked bone) of a white dog? Ellie is still badly stained and I'm rapidly running out of ideas on how to get it off before Crufts.
Wendy, I only have the one Collie, just sounds and feels like I have more lol. Not decided 100% what her career will be yet as she is only 6mths old, althought like Ellie, is already helping me with training classes.
Gill
Hello Everyone,
Can't believe it's Monday again, where has the weekend gone???
I'm loving the pics from the weekend
Well Done Vicky on your "Best Puppy" at the weekend. You must be very proud of your girl. She is looking lovely.
Read a lovely article yesterday about an Adopted Large Munsterlander. It was written by Pam Ayres (Author & Entertainer). It is a lovely article. I have e-mailed Pam Ayres today to seek permission to scan & put on the site. Mo, if I get this permission would you be able to put it on for me?
Pam x
Thanks Wendy he is a is 3 dot The three I have here tonight are very subdued
they must be missing their pals
Isla and myself entered Leicestershire Gundog Society today in Newark. We were in the Junior class where there were 4 entrants (1 absentee) and Isla got first place. Judge was (?) Miss P Grime (ANSONA).

Isla then went on to win best puppy in breed. We also went in the big ring at the end - didn't get anywhere but it was a brilliant experience.
Here are some photo's.....
......well done to everyone...i am so proud!
I love the look of your walk on the photo and the look of your girl.
Bye the way you helped sell a couple of my pups The prospective owners noticed your post re "the chase"
which is near where they stay and noted it they said they found it very intersting so thanks for that
they are a couple of lovely homes
Mo
Glasgow Wifie hanging out tenament window
" Are you going tomorrow? she said with a tear in her eye"
Yes I am going to new garden with grass hopefully
Snowmans new owners phoned to say Snowman was great on the journey
and he is really enjoying explring his new territory with plenty of gren stuff
called Grass
Good luck to all the new owners this weekend. Hope they all have had enough sleep over the last week!!
I always hated letting pups go, but there is no way that I could keep them all. Think of the food bill.....! I have one owner from the last litter who phones regularly with an update. She isn't on the computer so this is the only way we keep in touch (I do phone her now and then, but she always seems to phone me first!) She has Viszlas and a Munster, and has had munsters in the past. These ones all work, and the pup is in training. Thought the chickens object now and then...
Wendy, I only went to one champ show last year, SKC, and I only took Chance. He was 2nd in Limit, so I could have entered, but decided that after last years problem with the snow and having to try to find my way to the KC stand to get permission to leave early, and then struggling to find my way back to the bench, that I wouldn't go this year. Not only that but Seska is usually due in season at the end of February, beginning of March, and I didn't think I could leave her with anyone. Sods law, she was in season last month instead! I'm now looking at the show programme for this year and trying to decide where to go. I'll have to pick and choose which show, and which dog(s) to take.
Since I started using the back rub my back has been fine. The only time I am in pain is when I forget to use it and wake up the next morning a bit stiff and sore. I wish I'd found it sooner.
I look forward to photo of them all in their new homes as they grow.
Wendy, Mo, its Colin that takes and puts up the photos where some may have been tinkered with! Did you spot the change with milo and ruby photos
I'll be saying cheerio to some of the puppies this weekend, the heart would keep one but the head says not just now.
I find it fascinating that there were 3 different colours in this litter. As each parent can only carry 2 colour genes (Black being the most dominant one) I'd assumed that the tri gene was always going to be dominant over brown. But that is only going by the 2 other litters I know of that had tris, but not browns. I never thought that we would see 3 colours in the one litter. You live and learn.
Are the pups old enough to go to their new homes already? Only seems like it was last week when thye were born....Think I must be hibernating, or something. I'm missing too much.....
Thanks for your kind words Puppies all doing well. Eating me out of house & home. Not due to worms we are well wormed?!.
Yes snowman very flashy and for showing well constructed (according to the geru Helen) He was the first picked and I do not think he will be shown.
I still have 2 boys (if people on phone tonight like max and have him as a pal) I have 3 dot and Mac 3 dot is
black/white no tan to be seen . I do not know why they have been left to the end I suppose someone has to be
last. All the puppies in this litter had lovely heads & Wendy all scored 3 for ears on Helens score sheet??!!
and all except one had lovely depth of chest whoow I am very pleased with them as indeed is Kai and Nicky. Kai seems to throw lovely pups.
I think 6 of them are going to their new homes this weekend...Nicky keeps me right.
Thanks for the puppy people Wendy
M
Hi Sarah
Mac says thankyou for your favorable comments....he has been nearly picked once or twice but missed out
at the post He is a lovely boy as are all the pups. Last night a family who have had munsters nearly
20 years picked Bruno (my favorit) so I am really happy for him. All the pups are going to great homes.
3 dot is a boy (all boy)
Well, Mo...they are just like a normal slip lead, however there is a loop at the fornt making iit look much like a figure of 8. The one loop goes around the neck like a normal lead and the front loop goes over the nose.
Theres a stopper that you put behind the dogs ear aswell to stop it coming undone.
They are great!!
Please do come say hi to me and sarah on discover dogs erin and anyone else, will be lovely to see you. Got to go to some open shows befor ethen, eek!!!
Kaia and I are qualified and entered into Crufts but sadly work have refused me a day off so i wont be competeing. I will however be taking Kaia along on the Sunday to man (or should that be 'woman') the Discover Dogs stand with Vicky and Isla. Stop and say hi to us if you're there :D
Don't ever worry about me not cheering for the Munsters! I'm hoping for an Aussie BIS win at Westminster because Munsters aren't in USA shows (not certified with the AKC, probably because there's only a handful of them in this country. I think there are more in Canada.). But I'm definitely hoping for a Munster-take-all Crufts win!
Thank you to everyone who posts their lovely photos. Seeing all the cute little faces has me wanting one for my own so badly!!!
Will any of you (other than Erin, of course) be competing at Crufts?
Love and luck to all ...
~Nancy
We hope the munsterlander win BIS ??!!
Thanks for the videos Karen Ekko is doing really well.
Mo
Hello to Everyone!
We are all staying cozy inside tonight because there is a snow blizzard here in Cincinnati. It started a few hours ago and is supposed to go on through until tomorrow evening. It is so C-O-L-D outside!
But it's a perfect night to be wrapped in a blanket watching the first night of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show from New York City. And I'm SO HAPPY to report that the Australian Shepherd won for the Herding Group!!! Shiloh had her eyes glued to this group, for sure! The winner wasn't nearly as pretty as our little girl, but we'll keep our fingers crossed for the Aussie to win BIS at tomorrow's final night of Westminster.
~Nancy
We took Ekko to a new training group on Saturday - these two videos were taken while we were there.
Vicky
I have never heard of these figure 6 leads can you educate me please?
Mo
Hiya Vicky - yeah we do need to meet up but it will have to wait a few weeks as Kaia is in season at the moment (finally!) but when she's done we'll take them all from a stroll on Cannock Chase or Sutton Park. Kaia will be happy to show Isla the joys of swimming too :D
Isla had a little swim lesson yesterday, she wasn't so keen on it at first but i'm sure the confidence will build up gradually...Carly however wantas to go go goooo.
Sarah it is great to see you on here, how are you doing? We need to meet up soon to go for a walk on both fronts, cannock chase and sutton park!
Here is a picture of pups
taken by sarah of isla at manchester - p.s aren't those figure of 8 leads fabulous.
Which one would you like Sarah? Parcelforce only visit Scotland once a week so.....
Mo
The puppies look fantastic, you're making me envious, feel free to parcelforce me one :D
Whoow Sarh I thought Birmingham was a Stone jungle 2400 acres is a lot of land
Do you meet a lot of other dogs while walking there?
Mo
Loved the video Skye obviously has a good nose ++ as wind blowing
in the wrong direction
M
Hi Sarah and Kaia glad you managed to get on.
Your park in Birmingham looks nice.
Yes Spring is very Black/white just like your Kaia
M
Skye showing off her natural ability. Its a pity the owners dinny have the same.
We thought we'd join up to give Spring a bit of moral support on the 'black and white' front!! This is Kaia last week on her birthday walk to her favourite park.
We in Scotland are renowned for our hospitality? (maybe not our spelling)
Glad you have found a pad
Isla as a babby looks cute
Carol Spring did not knowingly stay in bed as Skye was out and about? did she?
Was not sure if you would make it tomorrow!!
M
by the way thankyou so much for the offers to stay with you. It is so nice to know that you are all so friendly and kind! I think we found a place in a lodge that has a field for the dogs, not sure where but i will let you know.
Hope you get better erin!!
Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I've had tons of college work to sift through! We have to make a film installation and do a factual documentary...ekkkkeeeeeek!!!
hope you like the picture of islabear.
Hi,
Elvis is often called "A What", people will ask me what type of dog I have, I will say "A Large Munsterlander" & their reply, 9 times out of 10 is, "A WHAT???"LOL I often then follow this with the line, "He's a German Gundog". Usually after that no-one asks me any more questions!!!!hee hee
I also think when we 1st got Elvis & took him to the vets for his jags the vet did think he was a big spaniel type dog. Billy wasn't long in correcting him though.
Pam x
Ace would like it to be known he was not brought into the logie house till after kai had done the dirty to maggie!!!!! lol lol. then we cut off his bits - poor boy. i know what you mean though they do get ome funny names. hogan has been a newfie and kelsie was a cross dalmation or a bad english setter.
wasnt skye cute , butter wouldnt melt!!!! spring is not unlike her auntie fancy in the slighty stranger colour some judges wont mind others just cant get past it. mo or carol as the computer whizzes on the blog should get a load of show stand pics of various munsters and colour them all in a block colour say blue and see what everyone thinks of them without the colour to prjidice your opinion. i think it would be interesting. we might all hate our own dogs!!!!
Don't you just love the way puppies will grab things to play? Though I don't think Chance was too happy at some of the 'bits' my pups wanted to play with ..........
Ok, a new discussion. what's the weardiest thing your dogs have been called? Mine have been big Spaniels, long-haired Dalmatians and English Setters in their day. I know we tease a certain munster about her Collie background, but it's not really meant, is it? Though I think the Afghan one from a few years ago might just about be the daftest has anyone else had their dogs called some weird name? (Keep it clean please.....!!)
We lived in Northmuir too. As you say I probably mistook them for a different breed, as bad as that is.
I have just realised that I wont be able to make the beach on Saturday. Devastated!! I am so sorry but hopefully soon we can meet up. Such a busy time for us right now, things keep cropping up at the last minute!
Hi Erin!
I 'm so sorry to hear you've not been feeling very good. I think it's a universal thing because I'm just getting over it myself after a week and a half long run. Fever, sore throat, headache. And I'm not good at staying in bed either! I just stayed in bed and poor Steve had to wait on me hand and foot. But Shiloh was just like having my very own nurse. She never left me. When I would wake up, she was laying right there next to me every time.
If being sick wasn't enough, I fell here in the house the week before last and broke my wrist! What a streak of rotten luck I've had lately! But please let your Mom know that with all of this, I have't been able to write much lately, but I'll be writing to her tomorrow. Feel better soon!!!
Love you!
Nancy
I walked there last year, just the once though. It was so muddy I didn't go back LOL.
I lived in the Glengate, before moving up to Northmuir, so if you were in Southmuir then you probably wouldn't have seen ours. Mind you, Bruce's house backs on to Kirrie Den, so you might have seen them in the garden and not realised what they were. There has always been a black & white springer there at the same time.
It would probably be 2pm before I could get to tentsmuir as I'm working till 11am so by the time I get home to collect Rhys and the dogs it will probably be about midday and then drive up from Glasgow.
Gill
How about Sat afternoon at Tentsmuir? I used to live in one of the villages just outside Forfar too and used to Walk my Munster and Husky/GSD round Forfar loch most days (where I taught Islay to swim) Islay was only about a year old when we moved back down to Glasgow though.
Gill
Obviously I won't make Tentsmuir this weekend (no way am I bringing any girls!!!!)
Elspeth, I don't have anything planned at the moment for either weekend so let me know when your up and I'm sure we could meet up. Though I don't know if you're going to be prepared for 4 mad munsters running around! I moved into Kirrie with a Munster in 1990, so there have been munsters there for 18 years! Even though I moved out 7 1/2 years ago my ex still lives there and he hasn't been without one since we got Bridie in February 1990.
Nicky, is it an allergy that Erin has, or an illness? Or don't they know? Claire can't eat anything with strawberry flavouring in it, but she can eat strawberries?!?!? We all try to avoid nuts as both Jenni and I are allergic, but to different types. I daren't eat anything with walnuts in it, but Jenni can.
Hi
I will not be able to make Tentsmuir this weekend
I am having visitors and extended family to look after??!!
Hope to make next fun day
Hope you are feeling a lot better Erin
Mo
That is such a lovely way to remember your mother, not morbid at all! We were up last weekend so it will be a few weeks until we visit again. Maybe either the weekend of 23rd and 24th Feb or 8th and 9th March, we don't know yet. I lived in Kirriemuir for 17years and I had never seen a Large munsterlander until I met our breeder Ali at Border Union! I had never heard of them until christmas 2006! I am completely hooked now though.
Elspeth
well poor wee erin made it till 12pm at school today before the teacher told her she was splodgy and puffy and should go to bed. So we went down and brought her home to rest. she is quite poorly and doesnt do it well. erin never really gets ill so takes it quite bad when she does. her rash is awful when it flares up and i call her giraffe cause i am a nice mum!!!! she is lying on my bed at the moment, eric has been sent to the sofa so us girls can cosy up together [she still likes mum cuddles best]. she really appreciated all the get well messages you all wrote fo her and liked wendy's sweetie sucking idea the best although she did have some pineapple juice earlier today.
Wendy you get real good owners that can just show stand pups, she is quite impressive just doing it, i am sure it was harder than it looks but shula seems to be in perfect control by her new family. i wont make plans for the weekends yet because of erin and we are just hoping that jason doesnt get anything too.
I actually live on the dual carriageway (well, about 100 feet off it) halfway between Forfar and Brechin. I'd love to meet up sometime, but with Seska still in season just now I couldn't bring her for another week or so. I would also leave one of the others behind for company. That still leaves me with 2 that would love a new walk. One of Chances sisters lives in Forfar, there are Munsters in Kirrie and Brechin too. Tina Williamson (no relation) lives just 15 minutes up the road from me. There are others about but I'm not sure where.
I was asked the other day why I use the name maggieeliza instead of my own. My mothers name was Margaret Elizabeth. She died just over 20 years ago and I wanted something to remember her by, hence the name. A bit morbid maybe, but we never had a service for her at the time as she donated her body to medical science, and when it was released my father had remarried and didn't feel it was right. It just felt right to borrow her name.
Linda Williamson
You live near Forfar? My parents live just the other side of the Dual carriageway. If you ever fancy meeting up in the future let me know. There are plenty of walks through fields and up the old railwayline to Glamis. I never knew that anyone in that area had munsterlanders!
Elspeth
For the last 2 weeks(ish) I've been using a muscle rub on my back. I have always been sceptical about these things, but it works! I've been relatively pain free since using it, so will have to make sure I keep some in reserve.
Forfar is about 6-7 miles away from where I live. It's a great place to walk the dogs, but you do have to watch the dual carriageway. There is chicken wire along the fence to keep the dogs in, but the fence is low enough that a munster could jump it with ease. I won't be going around it in the spring as the ducks/geeses/swans etc that live there will be nesting, and we have to keep the dogs under control (munsters? control when there are loads of birds around?????) but it does make a nice change. It takes about an hour to go all the way round, something I couldn't have done a couple of weeks ago. We met a load of dogs and their owners, and only met one that I wouldn't want to meet up with again. It was terrified of 4 munsters and their springer friend. It took off in the other direction - screaming....... They'd only looked at it. I wish I'd had my camera to hand so that I could have taken a pic of their faces. They were stunned! The woman had to go back to reclaim him, and then carried on as if nothing was wrong. Poor dog. Why walk it if it is so frightened of other dogs? We weren't anywhere near it. Probably about 200-300 yards away. There were other multiple dogs being walked at the same time. Anyway, rant over...
I don't know what happened to the pics. They were both supposed to be links, but Flash's one ended up on the page. I had to resize it.
Try pineapple juice for her throat! My docter suggested it to me before and it worked. There is a type of enzyme in it that seems to help sore throats. I really hope she feels better!
So what day and time for the beach this weekend?
Hi,
Wendy what a lovely pic of Shula (Lily). I love her markings, very different. Will she be shown?
Linda, how are you feeling now, any better. Lovely pics from your walk to. Is Forfar far from you? Looks like a lovely place to walk the dogs. Is it very dog friendly?
Pam
We would be happy to meet up for a walk this weekend. I have a puppy class till 11am on sat so couldnt get set off till about 11.30-12ish, nothing on Sunday. Aero's owner is away this weekend so we will probablly meet up next weekend too if anyone wants to try for that one.
Gill
So sorry to hear Erin isn't feeling too well just now. Claire was sent home from school on Friday with a bug, too. She's back at school, but I still think she would give a ghost a scare she's that white. It's frightening when the kids aren't well, you just never know if they are telling the truth or not. I remember days from my youth when I didn't want to go to school so pretended to be ill.......shhhh....
I took Pepsi and Chance round Forfar Loch yesterday morning. We met up with some friends (doggy ones) Guess who? Kayleigh (Chance's sister), Flash (Pepsi's brother) and friend Gyp (English Springer) It was great seeing them again as I haven't been round for some time. Flash looks, and acts, so much better.
I'll try to download a couple of photos... Flash seems to prefer the puddle to the Loch....

Get Well Soon Card from Skye and Spring.
Erin, You put your feet up for a wee while to fight that bug - give it what for!
Munster_ceilidh, Sorry Skye and Spring can't make this weekend. I can't remember where you are based and was wondering where you currently walk your dog.
Club Show - claim to fame is that some of my freshly made liver cake was eaten by a few winners on the day! Couldn't believe how different the weather was on Sunday cf the days before so conditions for driving were okay. Colin took some photos with our small sony camera but they haven't turned out very well.
Wendy - Tell Lila I'll bring her a big bottle of water from Peebles to Crufts - I always take a few bottles when I go away for a weekend say.
Forgot to say yesterday, I hope Erin is feeling better soon. There has been some major virus's going about this winter. Must have been pretty scary for you all on Sunday.

That was really nice of Sandra to e-mail you. I must admit I think Narla is a lovely looking girl & she has really come on since the summer. I think we will be seeing big things from her this year.
Thanks for the kind words Wendy. You as much as anyone know the struggles I have had since owning Elvis but I can now see all the hard work paying off. I am not just referring to in the show ring, I mean in general Elvis & I are much happier together. It was certainly an eye opener to handle a puppy yesterday!!!LOL I forgot how fidgety they can be. I was pleased with her though. No Handling Fee, it was my way of paying back for all the times Mo has let me tag along with her up & down the country!!!!

Hi,
I would have loved to come a run to Tentsmuir this weekend, but I am already have other plans. I'm sorry. Defo count me on for the next time please!!!!
Pam x
we will be at crufts for sure. just thought preston for an open show was a bit far.
erin is on all four days so no getting away form her an anyone who wants to cheer her on is more than welcome to do so. on thursday she has the rescue papillon in the ykc stakes, buzz in agility dog of the year, friday is breed, junior handling, heelwork to music and small agility final., saturday is groomin gwith buzz and sunday is representing scotland in the national show handler and getting her medal and best in show tickets for winning the shaun macalpine award for her age group. we then go and watch best in show [ which erin has never seen before and cant wait to see her idol mary ray perform live] then drive all the way back to bonnie scotland with 4 knackered dogs 2 shattered adults and a hyper erin!!![school on monday though] saying that many of you wont know but we had to take erin to hospital yesterday as she got a rash all over her body, she was convinced she was allergic to her dogs and was paincing about it but it turns out she has a raging temperature, red raw throat and a virul bug so she is in quaranteen for today!!!!
Good Morning Folks,
1st of all I think I should probably put my hands up & take the rap for the Wrong Info re the show results. I was trying to give Mo the details as I was driving home last night & think perhaps I got myself a bit mixed up with the names!!! Sorry for any confusion or upset caused!!! We are only human after all & "to err is human"!!!!
Had a fabulous day yesterday (for obvious reasons) but also just to be at the show & catching up with everyone makes the day for me. The winning just made the journey home much more pleasant & less tiring!!!!LOL
Wendy I think you hut the nail on the head really yesterday when you were telling me how after all these years you still get nervous before showing!!! I think that just goes to show how much you still enjoy it. I have only been showing for 4 years & absolutely love it. But like Wendy the actual time spent in the ring for me isn't that enjoyable. It's the meeting up with friends & the social side I enjoy most. The showing is just a small part of it. Obviously it's nice when you do well, but win or lose I don't think I have ever came away from a show not feeling like I've had a great day out.
Mo, the puppies are looking great. Their personalities are really starting to shine through.
Oh & finally, Elvis would like to say a big thank you to everyone who was so nice to us yesterday. And also a big well done to all the winners yesterday. It was a shame the entry wasn't bigger but hey, "you've got to be in it to win it".
Pam xx

That good she didn't even need to be there to get placed lol. Sadly my childcare fell thru for today and its just not possible to be in the ring and look after a 3yr old at the same time. Hope a good day was had by all.

.....to nowhere for the time being. Why, oh why, do I keep an entire male around entire bitches? Halfway through mum's season and it looks like my baby girl might be thinking of coming to season too. She hasn't quite made her mind up yet. Anyone got some spare ear plugs???????? Oh, and stronger arms!!!!!! Never again will I have a male around when I have bitches (until the next time, I hear you say...)
Good luck with the move when it comes, Carole. Make sure that the tea/coffee/kettle/cups are the last things packed, but the first things opened!!! Unless it's a bottle of the finest, or will that wait until you are fully unpacked?
Hi,
As Mo said the weekend of 15/16March will be our first weekend in new house so will be very busy. The weekend after (22/23Mar) you guys are most welcome to visit but nb fences will not be munsterproof by that time. I will at least have a chance to check the ground. The house is in approx 3acres of ground but it needs some tlc.
Will not be able to make 9/10Feb either for Tentmuir say but looking forward to one or both whenever they may be..
I dont think Sunday 10th Feb. would be appropriate ??!! Nicky for a Bash at your House??
But 24th March souds good
