Hi everyone, I've been unable to move too much lately, my back kept going into spasms, so I didn't sit at the computer too long, just in case.
Welcome Nancy and family. What a lovely story. It brought tears to my eyes (ok, I'm soppy anyway LOL ) Shilo is a lovely dog. Sorry to hear you lost Ruby. It always tears at the heart strings when you lose one.
Wendy, so glad to hear that Lila is back to normal. I have 2 that yip, and 2 that don't. Mother and son yip, but mother and daughter don't. That's why I rarely lose 2, but am constantly looking for the other 2. It doesn't help that the 2 that are quiet are roan in colour. I can never see them either......
As to spending money on them when they are ill. I think a lot of it depends on the final outcome. If the op will make thiongs better and they can live a normal life, then yes I would find the money. If, on the other hand, it just wasn't viable (as with Jake many years ago) then no, I would do the decent thing and stop the suffering. Jake only had a 30% chance at best to live a normal life. It just wasn't fair. Broke my heart as he was a lovely dog, but I just couldn't let him suffer any more.
