Morning - can't say good because the weather is dreadful, heavy rain, windy and cold. We managed to get our early walk in before the rain started, sat now waiting for Jazz's owners to come and spend time here before taking him home. Jazz hates the wet weather and doesn't want to go out (does anyone else have a munster that doesn't like rain and puddles ??) was planning on a walk to let them see how we get on and the language and whistle commands we use when out, but with this weather Jazz will not be his happy self though we will still go.
Yes, feel we have made very good progress - hand feeding making the most impression. If a bone or chew in his mouth when he heads for his bed or under my table I encourage him out with a 'special treat' so he doesn't feel threatened and hopefully we do an exchange. I decided not to challenge or be the boss because he couldn't cope and became scared and upset and hence went into fight/defence mechanism. The method of 'taking his mind off that' and making my actions sound exciting and rewarding has worked for this little man. He needed to forget his possessive growl which of course he learnt very early on and very quickly and he got his way - I still feel it was down to him being very hungry suffering from this tummy bug that lasted over three weeks, he was on two lots of antibiotics. So hopefully my lovely little man will be going home today to happy owners. Wendy
