Maggie would like to say a big thankyou to all her well wishers on her 12 birthday and would like to wish Erin happy birthday too as her birthday is exactly the same as Maggies to the year!! A lot of puppy people ask when their munster puppy will lose their puppy madness well Maggie is a joy to live with now she loves all the other dogs (relatives) in the house and lies on her back and plays with Poppy (brave Maggie) So I would say at around 11years???!!!!! So sorry to hear that Ghillie hasn't been well again. It is so upsetting when there isn't much that you can do to help them. Bruce (my ex) was telling me yesterday that his 2 munsters were at the vets with sickness and diarrohea. Funnily enough his English Springer was fine. They eat the same food, are walked in the same place at the time, so what causes it? Is it something to watch out for in breeding? Or is it just one of those things?
Lindsey  that is awful  he was looking so well the other day at Mugdock I hope he is on the mend. Poor wee man  I am sure he will make a full recovery......hope to see you at Crufts if you decide to come..

Really sorry to hear about Ghillie, fingers crossed he is on the mend and will be back to his old self soon .Its a shame he cant come to crufts this year but he will have lots of years to shine on the green carpet, he is just saving himself. give him a cuddle from us and a lick from Paws and the gang.

Have been meaning to post to say how much we enjoyed the munster meet at Mugdock. Beautiful day, and great company; it is so nice to catch up with everybody while the show season is in abeyance.

Sad news is that Ghillie won't be at Crufts. After he was looking so great and so fit a couple of weeks ago, he has had a really severe reoccurence of his colitis and spent all day yesterday at the vets on a drip and unlike previous occasions where he hasn't been particularly poorly, this time he was really ill, vomitting, refusing food, bleeding etc. We have no idea what triggered it, but he is such a dreadful scavenger that it could have been anything. So thats us crossed out of the catalogue for Crufts. The main thing is that he has responded well to treatment...so far and despite the dramatic weight loss, is back to his usual bonkers self  and begging for food every two minutes after not eating for 3 days. It will be a while before he is back on a proper diet again.

Haven't decided whether to go down to Crufts just for the visit without Ghillie, will decide next week.

So sorry to hear about Seska, what a terrible thing to happen, you must have been so disappointed Linda. Still, at least she is OK.

So might see you all at Crufts; if not, lots of Luck and have a great time everybody.

Lindsey.

What can I say to this? Well, I took her back to the vets yesterday for a scan. The vet couldn't find anything, but admitted that she wasn't very good at scanning, so got another vet. Who couldn't find anything. We eventually ended up with 4 people checking her out. Then we decided to x-ray her. Only to find nothing. She has absorbed the litter. The vets are stunned. We've no idea why, or when, things went wrong. Needless to say I am NOT going to try again. Once she is clear of milk she will be booked in to be spayed.
